Betsy Donald, Ph.D., MCIP, Associate Professor, Department of Geography, Queen's University

Photo of Dr. Betsy Donald Betsy Donald is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geography at Queen's University, where she teaches and does research on food and the urban creative economy. Dr. Donald has recent publications in Economic Geography, Environment and Planning A and Regional Studies. She also has two research projects (funded by the Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada) on the social dynamics of economic performance in Canadian city-regions, and the creative food economy. Dr. Donald has received numerous awards for her research in food and the urban economy, such as the Governor General's Gold Medal for Academic Excellence. Betsy is a mother of two young daughters and a lover of Canadian artisan food.
