Jean-Philippe Gosselin is the founder and co-owner of Les Dépendances, a Québec cheese boutique. Jean-Philippe has played an important role in the Québec cheese industry since he entered the business. He was a major player in the movement to save the manufacturing and importing of raw milk cheeses in Canada in 1996, and organized France’s first “Taste Fromage” ceremony in Canada, now an establishment of 16 merchants. Jean-Philippe is a member of the jury for the all-around competition at the international agricultural show in Paris and in 1998 he was the winner of “fine cheese of Québec” contest. Today at Les Dépendances, Jean-Philippe and his partner create, import, distribute and manage the maturing process of their cheese.
