Bruce Keown, Dairy Food Scientist, OMAFRA

Bruce Keown is a Dairy Food Scientist for OMAFRA. He has 25 years of experience in food inspection and assessment work for the Canadian and U.S. food and dairy industries including fluid dairy products, cheese, cultured diary products and aseptically processed and packaged foods. Bruce is a Registered Microbiologist and holds a Masters of Science from the University of Guelph and a Master of Divinity from Wilfred Laurier. Bruce has been a member of the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs since 2001 and is currently the Food Scientist for Dairy in the Food Safety Science Unit of the Food Inspection Branch. His impressive list of professional experience also includes teaching Food Plant Sanitation at Seneca College.
