Heather Menzies is a self acclaimed writer and an adjunct professor at Carleton University. She has been a member of the Writers' Union of Canada since 1978, and served on its national board four times. Heather is an award-winning author of seven books and has been described as a writer, who through research intertwines the experiences and observations of others with her own personal touch. In 1994, Heather met some of the last standing traditional cheese makers and published the book, By the Labour of Their Hands: The Story of Ontario Cheddar Cheese.
