OCS Conference 2010—Biography

Scott Linkletter: Cheesemaker, COWS CREAMERY

Scott was born in Prince Edward Island and started COWS Ice Cream in 1983. He began making cheddar about five years ago after a visit to the Orkney Islands, north of Scotland. Working with a cheesemaker there, he developed Avonlea Clothbound Cheddar and COWS CREAMERY Extra Old Cheddar. Avonlea Clothbound took first place in its category at the American Cheese Society in Austin, Texas and COWS CREAMERY Cheddar received first place in the old/extra old category at the 2009 Grand Prix Awards in Montréal.
